The fictional tale, close to Amanda’s heart, tells of Poppy Day's ordinary army family and the extraordinary situation in which they find themselves in when her Husband, Martin, is taken hostage on his first tour of Afghanistan. The compelling novel starts with a dreaded knock on the door and details Poppy's adventure in trying to bring home the man she loves.
