There is no Valentines gift more genuine and thoughtful than a poem. Write your own by joining us in the Selfridges London library on Sunday 12 and Monday 13 February for the Faber Love Poetry workshops.

Faber Academy, part of the world-famous poetry publishing house Faber and Faber, are joining the Words Words Words campaign at Selfridges to give you everything you need to write a poem that says just what you want it to.

Join award-winning poet and Faber Academy poetry tutor, Daljit Nagra: learn the basics, including how to handle metaphors or find the perfect image. With useful writing exercises, build your poem two lines at a time using some of the greatest love poems for inspiration and one of the UK’s finest poets on hand to help. Then head to the typewriter and produce a lasting, meaningful gift.
