ALDO Rise

ALDO have teamed up with this year’s hottest designers to create a capsule collection of seriously covetable shoes, available exclusively at Selfridges. With designs from J.W. Anderson, Preen, Faster by Mark Fast and Libertine, it’s the perfect way to add a designer piece to your wardrobe. We take a closer look at the designers, their collections and the inspiration behind them.

For those of you not already acquainted with J.W. Anderson’s designs, where have you been? His convention-eschewing collections have garnered him a strong following, and his designs for ALDO Rise follow the same tradition. With woven leather trims, bold stripes and feather-embellished heels, the ladylike courts are anything but conventional.

Libertine and Mark Fast

Mark Fast has been making waves with his intricate, figure-hugging designs for several seasons now, proving that there’s more to knitwear that Fair Isle jumpers. His collection for ALDO Rise is equally seductive, experimenting with contrasting colours, textures and very high heels.

If you can count Karl Largerfeld and Anna Wintour among your fans, then you know you’re doing something right. Inspired by his travels, Libertine’s collection of bold and graphic shoes will appeal to all free spirits.

And it started with a kiss: real-life couple Preen founded their label ten-years ago and have gained a loyal celebrity following from Kate Moss and Scarlett Johansson to Beyoncé and Michelle Obama. Their designs for ALDO Rise feature statement block heels and dreamy prints and colours.
