Maison Martin Margiela's 'Replica' fragrances launch exclusively at Selfridges

On 28 June, Maison Martin Margiela’s ‘Replica’ fragrances, ‘Flower Market’, ‘Beach Walk’ and ‘Funfair Evening’ launch exclusively at Selfridges.
Every season since 1994, Maison Martin Margiela has introduced a ‘Replica’ capsule collection, inspired by pieces discovered all around the world and faithfully reproduced, carrying a special label explaining its origin, function and period. Today, the Maison expands on this unique concept with a collection of three feminine fragrances.
Composed by the Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier, each of the three ‘Replica’ fragrances captures a specific olfactory moment, recalling memories that we all share.
“This has been a very stimulating and interesting exercise for the Maison. From the beginning, we had precise memories of these scents in mind, but we couldn’t imagine the difficulties and the many attempts needed to reach the final results.” - Maison Martin Margiela
“Each of the three fragrances is based on a desire to reinvent a scent that everyone knows, giving it something new, unique and very modern. I don’t like the notion of nostalgia. I prefer the idea of rediscovering those scents that have become a part of us all.” - Jacques Cavallier
With a silhouette inspired by classical apothecary jars, the bottle used for the three fragrances features a cotton label, resembling the tags used on clothing and accessories for the ‘Replica’ capsule collection, identifies each fragrance.
