Independence Day in the Selfridges London Foodhall
— 4 July 2012

The Fourth of July brings the perfect opportunity to indulge in some American-inspired treats, courtesy of the Selfridges London Foodhall.
Lola’s has created a limited edition Independence Day cupcake, complete with red velvet sponge, the American flag and a healthy dose of celebratory glitter.
No Independence Day is complete without a good old American-style barbecue. Macken’s Butcher in the Foodhall supplies the finest quality, organic and naturally fed meat, perfect for a summer of barbecues. Rodney’s from Macken’s shares a top tip for barbecueing chicken:
“It’s always wise to pre-cook the chicken in the oven first and then finish on the BBQ, this enables it to be cooked thoroughly with the smokey BBQ flavour but without any risk to harming anyone.”
For a mouth-watering Fourth of July flavour, pick up your favourite Missippi BBQ sauces, exclusive to Selfridges.
