Enjoy a taste of Mr Selfridge

Inspired by our charismatic chief, Harry Gordon Selfridge, we’ve trawled through the archives and uncovered some of the original menus from our restaurants when Selfridges opened in 1909.

For a limited time, you can enjoy a taste of our heritage in Dolly’s and the Tasting Room with a special menu inspired by Mr Selfridge’s opening food and drink offering.

Visit the Tasting Room, presenting a selection of sweet and savoury tasting plates to sample and share. The Mr Selfridge Recommends menu offers fresh, seasonal flavours including lamb cutlets with capers, mint and pancetta and gruyere croquettes with grain mustard and apple. The cocktail menu brings back vintage mixes from throughout our history including The Millionaire and The White Lady.

In Dolly’s, named after Harry Selfridge’s favourite identical twins, you’ll find a special afternoon tea offering inspired by the original menus from the early 1900s, including finger sandwiches filled with smoked salmon, smoked caviar and shredded salt beef.
